Facebook-owned messenger app WhatsApp is constantly trying to give new features to its users. In the same sequence, WhatsApp has been testing a new ‘expiring message’ feature for the last few months. Talk about this new feature came out in March this year. This feature will provide users with the facility to automatically delete media sent with the message, such as pictures, videos and GIF images, after a predetermined time.
The message itself will be removed
Instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature that is being called ‘Expiring Media’. In this feature, photos, videos are sent to someone, then they will automatically go away after seeing the receiver. WhatsApp’s website that keeps track of the features (WABetainfo) has shared some screenshots in which a special button for ‘Expiring Media’ can be seen.
From this screenshot, it can also be guessed that you will have to use a dedicated icon while sending media content for expiring media, as soon as you send the media content to someone. You can select ‘Expiring Media’ while sending videos, photos or jiff files. After this, the person you have sent will disappear.
